The operation of power relays and substations is heavily reliant on the accuracy of this information, and their precise synchronization plays a significant role in incident analysis, differential protection, and relay coordination. These tools also enable synchronization in the measurement of voltage and current phases in smart grids, facilitating control and monitoring in real-time systems. Consequently, the failure to utilize time servers in substations can lead to disruptions in network protection, incorrect incident analysis, reduced reliability, and lack of integration and synchronization of equipment, which poses serious consequences for the efficiency and safety of energy systems.
